Exchange students (1 semester)
Important info, read carefully
Whether or not you need a visa for your mobility period at the University of Graz depends on your nationality. Students with a passport from an EU/EEA country do not need a visa for a mobility period at the University of Graz. For this reason, please let us know if you have dual citizenship!
A visa can be issued for a maximum of 6 months (180 days) and cannot be extended. If you want to extend your mobility period to a second semester, please contact us well in advance. When extending your mobility period, you have to apply for a residence permit.
Here's what you need to apply for a visa:
Application form
You have to apply for a national visa type D. It can be issued for up to 180 days. Download the form here.
